Sewar: 12 Injured As Neighbours Clash Over Boundary Wall | Jaipur News
Jaipur: At least 12 people were injured when two groups clashed in a dispute over construction of a boundary wall of a house in Sewar police station area of Bharatpur on Sunday. The two groups attacked each other with batons and iron rods and also hurled stones at each other, police said.
The incident took place in the morning at Ekta village where a person named Jagdish brought some labourers for digging up the ground to lay the foundation for the wall. “His neighbour Ram Mohan asked him to dig it a little further away from his house, which triggered a verbal spat and later turned into into a violent confrontation,” said an officer of Sewar police station.
The two neighbouring families brought out batons and iron rods and be it women or men, everyone plunged into the violent confrontation. Some people tried to separate them but failed, police said.
“Our team rushed to the spot and took the injured to hospital. At least 12 persons have sustained injuries, four of them critically,” the officer said.
Police recorded statements of people from both sides at the hospital. “A FIR has been registered and those behind the violence would be arrested,” said the officer. tnn
