Skill Centre: Garment Body To Set Up Skill Centre | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The state government has given 1,100sq m land to the Garment Exporters Association of Rajasthan (Gear) at Mahal Yojana to build a skills training centre. Gear Training and Research Foundation will create a talent pool to meet the growing human resource needs of the industry. President Zakir Hussain and general secretary Arun Gupta of Gear said that it will require about Rs 6 crore to build the centre. “The proposal of GTRF was passed unanimously in the annual general body meeting of Gear,” said Hussain. tnn

Bhopal Metro gears up for trial run today
The trial run of Bhopal Metro’s priority corridor, covering a distance of 4 kilometers, is scheduled to take place on Tuesday. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will ride the metro, marking a significant milestone for the project. The Bhopal metro will consist of two lines and is expected to begin passenger rides in about six months after the trial run. Plans are also being considered to expand the metro to neighboring towns such as Sehore and Mandideep. The Indore Metro recently conducted its trial run as well.
