Skills Training: Au Bank’s Academy Trains 13,600 Youths |

Jaipur: In its first five years since inception, AU Ignite, the skills training academy of AU Small Finance Bank has trained 13,628 and placed 11,136 youths out of the pool, achieving a placement assistance of over 80%, said the bank’s MD and CEO Sanjay Agarwal. He said the academy aims to empower the under-privileged youths with relevant skills that can bridge the skills gap and promote economic development. tnn

Skill India Digital aims to create better future for youth: MoS Rajeev Chandrasekhar
Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar has announced the launch of Skill India Digital (SID), a comprehensive digital platform aimed at creating a better future for the youth. SID is a Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for skilling, education, employment, and entrepreneurship in India. The platform aligns with the vision of the G20 framework and serves as an information gateway for government initiatives. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan stated that Skill India Digital will bring all skilling initiatives together and enable skilling for all, anytime, anywhere. Chandrasekhar emphasized the importance of digital skills and entrepreneurship in the post-COVID world.

Anganwadi equipped to develop kids skills
Coimbatore city mayor Kalpana Anandakumar inaugurated an anganwadi centre in ward 25 of Hudco Colony. The centre, part of the Namakku Naame scheme, has been equipped with over 118 sports and skill development equipment for children. The renovation of the centre was made possible with contributions from the city corporation, Lakshmi Mills, Sakthi Sugars Limited, and NGOs upswings educare and wow educare. The anganwadi now includes a kitchen garden, interactive centre, drinking water facilities, and toilets. The mayor also inspected damaged roads and ongoing water pipeline work in the city.
