Missing Tax Official May Have Boarded Rishikesh Train | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Recent investigation has revealed that Sanjay Gupta, posted as joint commissioner at a state taxation department and who has been missing since June 17, may have boarded a train bound for Rishikesh from Gandhi Nagar railway station.
According to SHO (Mahesh Nagar) Saroj Dhayal, the police have discovered that Gupta could have taken a train to Rishikesh from the Gandhi Nagar railway station. In the search for the missing officer, various teams from the Jaipur police have been dispatched to Rishikesh and New Delhi. The disappearance of Gupta has left authorities puzzled as they continue their search. On the evening of June 17, Gupta left his residence, informing his family that he was going out to attend a wedding. He assured them he would return by the morning when he last spoke to them around 10 pm. However, he failed to come back, and his mobile phone has been switched off. Concerned, his family visited the Mahesh Nagar on June 18 to file a missing person report (MPR).
