Snack: 4 Arrested For Beating Drunk Man To Death In Bikaner | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Four persons were arrested and one juvenile was detained on Sunday for beating a 32-year-old drunk man to death. The deceased, identified as Chandaram Bawari, was beaten for allegedly being under the influence of alcohol and abusing people at Lunkaransar village in Bikaner late on Saturday evening. He succumbed on Sunday to multiple injuries, prompting the police to register a case of murder against the assailants.
“Chandram Bawari was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and was abusing everyone. Some people in the locality asked him to stop but he continued with the rant. He was beaten up by the accused, identified as Bhagirath, Mukesh, Nizamuddhin and Hanuman, when he tried to enter a house in the area forcibly,” said a senior police officer of Lunkaransar on Monday.
Later, Chandaram was rushed to a nearby hospital by his family members, but on Sunday he succumbed to the injuries at the hospital.
“On Sunday evening police arrested four persons in this case and have also detained a juvenile in this case. The matter is being investigated by DSP Anil Kumar, who is also the in-charge of SC-ST cell,” said an officer.
“No major injuries were found on his body,” said Tejaswini Gautam, SP Bikaner.
