Mild To Moderate Showers Continue, More Rain Forecast | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Mild to moderate rainfall continued at some places in Kota, Udaipur, Jodhpur and Jaipur divisions on Monday. The meteorological office said that the rainfall activity will increase in the state from Tuesday. Patan (Bundi) received rainfall of 70mm which was highest in the state on Monday.

On Sunday many places in Udaipur and Kota divisions received rainfall varying from 60 to 90mm which affected normal life and vehicular traffic.
People in Jaipur woke up to a hot and humid Monday morning which was followed by scattered rainfall in the afternoon and evening. Many areas including colonies on the Sikar Road, Kalwar Road and Ajmer Road witnessed mild to moderate showers in the evening. Commuters returning home from offices in the evening had a troublesome time as traffic remained chaotic for hours at Chomu Puliya, Jai Singh Highway, Sodala, Queens Road and Kings Road in the city. Also, in the Walled City the traffic was chaotic due to waterlogged roads.

Patan was followed by Raniwada (Jalore) and Nainwa (Bundi) where rainfall of 60mm was recorded, Danpur (Banswara) and Bhinmal (Jalore) 50mm each. A rainfall varying from 10mm to 40mm was recorded at several places in the state.
Met office said that from Tuesday rainfall activity would enhance in the state.
