Speaker Pulls Up Ministers For Failing To Give Satisfactory Answers To Queries | Jaipur News

Jaipur: After Mahesh Joshi on Monday, Sukhram Vishnoi and Muralilal Meena on Tuesday could not give a satisfactory reply to a question in the assembly inviting the ire of the Speaker.
Speaker said the ministers should come to the House prepared after discussing it with officials on questions listed. He asked the minister to initiate action against the officials who had not prepared the answers with seriousness.
MLA Amrutlal Meena pointed out discrepancies in the figures to his question on benefits given to labourers in excess of the applications received. Minister Sukhram Vishnoi was found groping for answers.
Speaker C P Joshi said when the questions are put up, they are scrutinized by the minister and secretary. He said that this kind of irresponsible way in which replies are put up in the House is a matter of concern. He said the minister should first examine the answers and then put them up in the House, otherwise what will be the dignity of the House?
Minister Muralilal Meena also struggled to answer a question by Kalicharan Saraf on RTDC seven midway renovation announced in 2021-22 budget. He said that RTDC instead of renovating the said midways diverted funds. The minister said it was done according to the RTDC board decision.
The MLA then alleged what will be the sanctity of the budget announcements, to which the minister was not able to reply. Finally, the Speaker had to step in to save minister Meena.
