Sports Nutrition: Fog Hits Traffic In Raj, Mercury Falls Below 15°c At Many Places | Jaipur News
Jaipur: For the first time fog and mist affected vehicular traffic in many districts of the state including Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Alwar and Dausa on Saturday. Also, many places witnessed minimum temperatures below 15.0 degree Celsius as winters creeped in the state. The visibility was poor especially during early morning hours on the highway connecting Jaipur to Agra, Jaipur to Sikar and Jaipur to Delhi.
The Met office said that in next one week mercury will further take a dip across the state. Sirohi remained coldest in the state where a minimum temperature of 11.2 degree Celsius was recorded, the Met reports stated.
“The visibility was poor upto 100 metre on the highway. Fog mixed with the smog due to pollution was seen on the highways,” said an officer with the Met office, Jaipur.
The Met office stated that during early morning mercury has taken a dip across the state and in the afternoon with bright sunny days the humidity is converting into fog. “This is likely to continue for the coming days,” said an officer.
Sirohi was followed by Sangariya (Hanumangarh) where a minimum temperature of 12.3 degree Celsius was recorded, Bhilwara 12.6, Sriganganagar 12.8, Pilani 13.1, Udaipur 13.4, Churu 14.5, and a minimum temperature of 14.5 degree Celsius was recorded at Churu.
The Met office said that at majority of the places winters have arrived, but at some places in western Rajasthan including Barmer and Jaisalmer the temperatures are gradually dipping. In its forecast, the Met office said that partially cloudy sky would be witnessed at some places, however weather would mainly remain dry in the rest of the state.

The State Police Complaints Authority has ordered the government to take disciplinary action against three policemen, including a senior IPS officer, for failing to register an FIR for cheating. The complaint was made by Prakash Seth, who accused a policeman and his wife of cheating him out of Rs 5.51 lakh. The accused officers claimed it was a case of cheque-bouncing and instructed Seth to approach the courts. However, the Authority deemed their approach as negligent and instructed the government to initiate disciplinary proceedings.
