Staff Selection Board: Raj Staff Selection Board Gets New Chairman | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The state government late on Wednesday night appointed retired major general Alok Raj as the new chairman of the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) for the next three years. Alok Raj, has served in the Indian Army for over 37 years. Previously he held the post of ADG NCC Maharashtra and chairman, canteen stores department (MoD) Mumbai.
The state president of Rajasthan Unemployed Ekikrit Mahasangh, Upen Yadav had been fasting since August 12 protesting delay in the appointment of Rajasthan Staff Selection Board chairperson. He broke his five-day long fast after the appointment order was issued on Thursday.
“Realising the suffering of the unemployed youth and seeing our struggle, CM Ashok Gehlot has announced the appointment of a new chairman, which we welcome and express our gratitude. If the staff selection board is negligent in the recruitment test, result and advertisement releases regarding vacancies, then again we will protest and gherao the selection board. We hope the new chairperson will work with integrity and responsibly,” said Yadav on Thursday. tnn
