Statewide Protest: Teachers’ Assn To Organise Statewide Protest On August 24 | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The Rajasthan University Teachers Association (RUTA) and numerous non-academic staff organisations have announced a state-wide protest for August 24.
All state universities in Rajasthan will be closed on Thursday as part of the protest against the condition of depositing employer’s contribution amount in lieu of restoration of the old pension scheme.
Due to the protest, administrative and teaching work in universities has been severely affected.
Students said that they were facing problems in getting migration certificates, degrees and there was a delay in the admission process too. They also said that both academic and extracurricular activities have been on a halt due to the protest.
“Most of us are suffering because of the teachers’ protests. The admission process was first delayed, then passed students were not able to take their marksheets, degrees, or even migration certificates. The administration block is almost shut,” said Vinod Bhudoli, a student.
Students said that timetables for exams or classes have not been released so far this year. From this year, the National Education Policy 2020 is being implemented in the university, which states that schedules for examinations and classes have to be issued at the start of the session itself so that students can select subjects under choice-based credit system in advance.
