Student Injured In Tiff Before Inauguration Of Union Offices At Ru | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: A student was injured when he fell from the stage during an argument that erupted before the inauguration ceremony of two student union offices at University of Rajasthan on Sunday.
Chief minister Ashok Gehlot was scheduled to attend the inauguration of the research students’ union office and the student union office of the Five-Year Law College at the university, but he could not attend due to the rainy weather in the city.
Before the event, a student fell from the stage during an argument between the university registrar and the students about the arrangements for the programme. Students alleged that no attention was paid to the tents and other seating arrangements on the stage. The student who was injured was rushed to SMS hospital as his leg had suffered a fracture.
The argument started over photographs featuring student leaders with the chief minister on the poster that was put up on the stage. Students said that when research students’ union president Ramswaroop Ola objected to the photo of the law college students’ union president, a dispute started.
The student union office of the Five-Year Law College was inaugurated by the parents of the union’s president, Abhishek Chaudhary, who is also the NSUI state president, along with university administration officials. tnn
