Suggestions: Board To Give Suggestions To Govt For Khatik Body | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Social justice and empowerment department secretary Samit Sharma said the Rajasthan State Sant Durbalnath Board, which was formed on Friday to assess the economic and social situation of Khatik community in the state, will give suggestions to the state government, based on an authentic survey report, about basic facilities and schemes to be launched for the welfare of Khatik community, which belongs to the SC category in Rajasthan.
The idea behind forming the board was to provide basic facilities to people belonging to this community to lift them out of poverty, according to the order issued by the department. The objective of the board will be to give suggestions to the government to link people belonging to the community to welfare schemes of the government by coordinating with various departments, to give recommendations to the government to abolish social evils and superstitions prevalent in the community, to give suggestions to ensure economic upliftment and employment generation and educational growth of the community.
It will also give suggestions to improve their traditional businesses in the state. As per order issued by the social justice and empowerment department, this board will have five private persons as members – president, vice-president and three members.
Among government officials, commissioner industry or a representative from the department (an official of the joint director’s level), secretary higher education/school education/sanskrit education department, secretary rural development and panchayati raj department, commissioner/director labour department, commissioner/director social justice and empowerment department will be the members of the board. He emphasized the last mile reach of post offices in promoting financial inclusion and mentioned the establishment of parcel directorates for capturing the e-commerce market. Pandey also mentioned the signing of an agreement with Indian Railways to leverage their reach. Additionally, 700 Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras have been set up for capturing the global market.
