Suicide: Man consumes poison with two kids, nephew | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: A 25-year-old man, along with his two children and a nephew, consumed poison on Friday after his wife left him six days ago in the Kotputli-Behror district.
The victim, Krishna Jat, and his four-year-old daughter Ruchi passed away during treatment on Saturday, while his son Vansh (7) and nephew Vineet (5) are still in serious condition and undergoing treatment at NIIMS Hospital, Jaipur.
A police official said, “The victim was a resident of Tulsipura village. It appears to be a case of suicide due to domestic disputes. We are still investigating, exploring all the angles and action will be taken based on doctors’ reports and the investigation.”
Speaking to TOI, a family member said, “Krishna used to work at a grocery shop in Paota. There had been an ongoing dispute between Krishna and his wife for a long time. She left the house on the night of October 21. Since then, Krishna was very upset. He had gone to pick up the three children from school at around 1 pm on Friday afternoon but did not return home.”
According to reports, the victim bought pesticide tablets used to treat grains from the store. He took out the tablets at the temple and gave them to the three children to eat around 2.15 pm. The daughter died as she swallowed the entire tablet, while his son Vansh vomited 5-10 minutes after consuming the tablet. After this, he became unconscious. Due to this, Vansh’s condition did not worsen significantly, but Vineet’s condition is still critical.
Krishna’s father, Amichand, mentioned “His son Ghanshyam (30) had died due to illness one and a half years ago. After Ghanshyam’s death, Krishna had also been taking care of Vineet.”
