Sunidhi Chauhan reveals divorce at young age has made her a better version of herself; says she isn’t bitter about it
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sunidhi was asked about her personal life and her first divorce. In response, she said that she has made a lot of blunders in her life but she is thankful that she hasn’t been deprived of things in her life.She said that even though she is out of marriage now, she isn’t bitter about it. She added that every experience has made her a stronger person.
The renowned vocalist also discussed the societal pressure women face when they choose to end their marriages. She disclosed that she didn’t experience any unpleasant situations during her divorce, yet faced significant criticism. She expressed her gratitude to God for granting her inner strength and emphasized her deep appreciation for the unwavering support of her parents.
In 2012, she discovered love once more in the form of music composer Hitesh Sonik, and the couple exchanged vows. They celebrated the arrival of their first child in 2018 and bestowed upon him the name Tegh.
In the same interview, Sunidhi also opened up about being pitted against Shreya Ghoshal. According to her, she never saw Shreya as her rival. She also pointed out how such comparisons have existed since the 1960s, when Lata Mangeshkar was pitted against her very own younger sister Asha Bhosle, or in the 1980s, when Kavita Krishnamurthy was pitted against Alka Yagnik.
Sundihi started her film career with Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Mast‘, starring Urmila Matondkar and Aftab Shivdasani.
