Jaipur: A Bolero car overturned after hitting a camel near Savlore village in Chauhatan police station area in Barmer district on Friday night, causing the driver’s death on the spot and injuries to all the eight passengers.
The injured people, including two women and two children, were rushed to Barmer district hospital. Two of them whose condition was serious were referred to a hospital in Jodhpur. Chauhatan police said members of a family from Kernada village were going to Juna Partasar village to attend a social function when at around 10-11pm a camel suddenly came on the road near Savlore village and the vehicle hit it. The vehicle lost its balance and overturned as a result.
The deceased was identified as Kheman Ram. His body was handed over to his family after an autopsy. Chauhatan police reached the spot soon after receiving information. Police have started investigating mishap after Ram’s family lodged a complaint. tnn
