Over 100 Illegal Domestic Cylinders Found Across City | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Following directions by district collector Prakash Rajpurohit, teams of the logistics department of the district administration raided several places in Jaipur and took action against illegal storage of domestic cylinders. The team recovered 103 cylinders from the spot.
“The logistics department was directed to take effective action on complaints of illegal storage of LPG cylinders in Jaipur, illegal use as fuel in vehicles, refilling-transfer and black marketing,” said Rajpurohit.
Enforcement officials had seized a total of 53 gas cylinders stored in a godown located in Gangauri market of Phulera town. Out of which 28 gas cylinders were found filled. These illegally stored cylinders were confiscated after satisfactory answers were not received in the enquiry. Action will be implemented against the accused under Section-6A of the Essential Commodities Act-1955.
On the other hand, the team recovered more than 50 illegally stored gas cylinders at Khatiyon Ke Mohalla in Jhotwara. All the cylinders were seized when the accused failed to produce valid license and documents.
The team has also recovered 4 electric motors along with wires, nozzles and hoses used in illegal gas refilling from the spot. “We are going to carry out such actions even in future,” said a district official.
