Tiger Conservation: Tiger Conservation Conclave In Jaipur Today | Jaipur News

Jaipur: ‘Baghodaya’, a tiger conservation conclave, organised by World Wilderness Congress Trust of India (WWTI) and Sariska Tiger Foundation (STF), will take place at Rajasthan International Center (RIC) on Friday. Environmentalists and tiger conservation experts will convene from 5pm to 7:30pm at RIC for discussions to shape innovative strategies for tiger conservation and population enhancement.

Notable figures in the domain, including Vance G. Martin, the Chairman of IUCN’s Wilderness Specialty Group and the global president of the World Wilderness Congress, renowned wildlife filmmaker Subbaiah Nalla Muthu, and Tiger anthem music composer Shantanu Moitra, will grace this occasion, where a song and a short film on a tigress and her cub in Rajasthani will also be released.
Sunil Mehta, chairman of WWTI and STF, emphasized the significance of this event, commemorating the 50-year milestone of the National Tiger Project and the 15-year initiative to augment the tiger population in Sariska. “The Rajasthani rendition of the tiger anthem, composed by Subbaiah Nalla Muthu and Shantanu Moitra, will be unveiled during the event. Vance G. Martin will also deliver an insightful presentation on tiger conservation policy,” he said

Adding an element of youthful zeal, school children will actively engage in the proceedings, sharing their perspectives and insights on tiger conservation. ‘Baghodaya’ aspires to unite expertise, vision, and enthusiasm towards securing a thriving future for our national symbol. tnn
