Jaipur: Jaipur International Airport (JIA) will become a completely silent airport from February 1, said officials on Friday.
“To ensure that vital announcements do not get missed, dozens of screens have been installed all over to display flight information for passengers. The screens are placed at strategic locations outside and inside the terminal, at check-in halls and security hold area. Passengers will get all important information, including boarding-related information, updated on the digital screens and through messages on their mobile numbers,” said an official spokesperson of JIA.
Automated public address systems will also be deployed at the airport to provide important update to the passengers. Airlines will also be updating passengers on all travel-related information in their respective capacities. However, emergency announcement will continue to be made through the public announcement systems, said the spokesperson.
An awareness drive is being run at the airport to make passengers aware of the new development with signages and display screens.
