JAIPUR: A 42-year-old woman along with her minor son repeatedly struck her husband with iron rods and sticks on Tuesday evening at Losal village in Sikar district, and the man died of his injuries on Wednesday, police said.
The couple had a dispute for the past three years and were living separately. Police said they have registered a case of murder and the woman and her son are on the run.
According to the police, a man named Suresh Kumar submitted a complaint that his elder brother Ramniwas, 45, who married Sridevi Bawari 25 years ago had been killed by her. He said that late on Tuesday night the woman barged into the house where Ramniwas lived and hit him with iron rods, batons and other things along with her son.
“He was admitted to a hospital where he succumbed on Wednesday. On Wednesday afternoon we received the complaint. The body of the deceased was handed over to the brother after the postmortem,” said a senior police officer of Losal police station on Thursday.
“For the past three years the couple were living separately. The woman was living in a rented accommodation along with her son,” the officer added.
“We have raided a few places and both would be arrested soon,” the officer said.
