Meena Gives ‘evidence’ To Ed For Money Laundering Charge | Jaipur News

Jaipur: BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Kirori Lal Meena on Friday handed over some documents to Enforcement Directorate (ED) as evidence for his allegations against CM Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot, daughter-in-law Himanshi Gehlot and Ratan Kant Sharma.
Meena also lodged a complaint with ED against the three people for allegedly carrying out benami transactions worth thousands of crores of rupees in the hotel business via funds invested from Mauritius and London.
The BJP MP alleged that Narendra Singh Dhindsa, a London-based doctor, invested Rs 95 crore in Sivnar Holdings Limited created by Minerva Holding Limited, which was named in Panama Papers. Meena alleged that the doctor received black money through hawala and invested it in Sivnar Holdings Limited. Vaibhav Gehlot had on Thursday rubbished the the allegations as “baseless”.
He said the money was later invested as white money by Sivnar in Fairmont Hotel in Jaipur, allegedly linked to Vaibhav Gehlot. Meena alleged that the doctor, who is a resident of Church Road in London, showed false sales of Capry hospitality business. “However, the black money was sent by Vaibhav Gehlot and invested as white money back in Fairmont,” he alleged.
The BJP MP had held a press conference on Thursday and levelled allegations against the CM’s family. He had said he would give evidence to ED and disclose the name of the “accomplice doctor” on Friday. Meena also named Hitesh Bayani and Russian Yuk Latincic in his complaint lodged with ED, saying Latincic represented Fairmont as a director. The MP lodged a complaint against Gehlot and Ratan Kant Sharma under Section 3 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002, in reference to an FIR lodged at Amer police station (0249/23) against Sharma and Fairmont under Sections 327, 329, 509, 506, 34, 341, 323 of the IPC.
“The Gehlot government is involved in corruption of 60% commission. If it is not true that Vaibhav Gehlot has invested crores of rupees through Mauritius, then why did Ashok Gehlot’s government approve the construction plans for Hotel Fairmont through JDA and RIICO? Why was Vaibhav Gehlot appointed as the legal advisor to Triton Hotel (Fairmont Hotel)?” asked Meena while speaking to reporters. He further said, “If Gehlot has nothing to do with black money in Hotel Fairmont, then why does not the CM take action to demolish the hotel, which was built illegally? Why were the Banjaras forcibly evicted from their land to build Hotel Fairmont in Kukas area?”
