Man Dies, Four Injured In Two Clashes In Jaisalmer | Jaipur News
Jaisalmer: In two different violent incidents in Pokhran subdivision of Jaisalmer district, a young man died and four persons were seriously injured.
The first incident took place in a graveyard in Phalsoond area where a man who was wounded during a clash died during treatment, while another was injured. In the other incident, at Pokhran city, three persons were injured in a clash following a dispute over a cricket match. The injured were referred to Jodhpur for treatment.
Phalsoond SHO Bhanwarlal said that on Thursday two groups of a family who were involved in prolonged enmity violently clashed in a graveyard over a marriage. One of the group hit a man identified as Farookh Khan, 24, who was critically injured and later died during treatment in Jodhpur on Thursday evening. Another identified as Ilyas Khan from the opposite group was critically injured and referred to Jodhpur. Police are investigating the case.
Police said in another incident on Wednesday night, two groups engaged in a violent clash following a dispute over a cricket match going on at Dindayal Upadhyay colony in Pokhran city. One of the groups brought 10 to 15 men from their village and attacked the other group. Three persons were injured who were brought to Pokaran hospital.
Police reached the spot and found empty cartridges of 12-bore guns and swords from two damaged vehicles. Kamal Singh Tej Singh and minor Chain Singh were injured in the clash. Police suspect that firing took place on basis of finding 2 empty cartridges. However, no arrests have been made yet.
