Four Employees Of Edu Dept Fired, Assets Worth ₹1.12cr Seized: Kalla | Jaipur News
JAIPUR: Education minister B D Kalla in his reply to the discussion on paper leaks said the services of four personnel of the education department have been terminated and their properties worth Rs 1.12 crore have been seized.
“As many as 182 recruitment examinations took place in the last four years in which hirings through 145 examinations have been made, results of 21 have been declared, interviews are pending in seven and results in nine are awaited,” he said.
Kalla said the state government is working with sincerity to ensure that recruitments are held in a fair manner for which the government has passed a law with stringent provisions for punishment.
He said the forest guard, police constable and senior teachers recruitment examinations were canceled by the state government after the question papers were leaked.
Kalla said two committees were formed to give the state government suggestions to improve the system.
The minister also highlighted that the paper leak incidents have taken place in other states also, including Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, and during the rule of the previous BJP government in Rajasthan from 2013 to 2018.
Sanyam Lodha, independent MLA and an advisor to the chief minister, took the government to task on appointment to boards. He said, “If the people with the right credentials were not given positions in RPSC, then these incidents are certain to happen. Some of the persons given positions in RPSC do not even have the habit of carrying their purses or buying their own vegetables.”
BJP MLAs in the discussion pointed to put the proximity of the accused to ruling party leaders. MLA Madan Dilawar claimed that if a CBI investigation is done, the chief minister, education minister, and a dozen IAS officers would go to jail.
The leader of the Opposition, Gulab Chand Kataria, fiercely attacked the government. Kataria said, “At least take steps to improve the examination system by forming a committee of the assembly. It is a matter of shame that all the people who were caught in the paper leak cases got bail and the kingpins are roaming free. He alleged that it was not paper leaks but papers were being carried in buses and sold to people for Rs 5 to 8 lakh.”
He expressed dissatisfaction with the minister’s statement and announced a walkout from the House.
Parliamentary affairs minister Shanti Dhariwal, who wanted to reply to the charges of the BJP leaders, alleged that the BJP MLAs were running away because they cannot listen to what the state government has done against paper leak cases.
The BJP MLAs then created uproar in the House following which the Speaker closed the debate and adjourned the house for 10 minutes.
