5 Days Sans Water, People Hit Tonk Road | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Drama unfolded in Sanganer in Jaipur on Sunday after a group of locals led by the councillor and chairman of Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) Greater Arun Sharma blocked the Tonk Road protesting against poor supply of drinking water in the localities.
Within 15 minutes after the blockade started, engineers of PHED rushed to the spot to pacify the crowd and started work to improve the water supply. Normalcy was restored in the evening.
Sharma had alleged that he and some locals from ward number 104 have been complaining against poor supply of PHED water for the last five days.
However, officials from the local PHED circle office did not pay heed to their complaints and rushed to the spot only after residents decided to block the road on Sunday morning, alleged Sharma. TNN
