Ru Students Climb Tree To Demand Security On Campus |
Jaipur: In a unique way of protesting, three students climbed a tree at the University of Rajasthan campus on Monday afternoon. They were protesting lack of proper safety measures in the campus. Despite rain, the students sat atop the tree for three hours.
“We conducted this protest to highlight three major issues that this university faces, which are negligence of students’ security, especially of females, continuous increment in fees, and increasing fights amongst students,” said Vinod Bhudoli, one of the protestors and an aspiring student leader.
The students demanded stricter security protocols in the university and action against rising incidents of hooliganism.
Students Kisan Bairwa and Rinku Meena also joined Bhudoli in the protest. The students got off the trees after a conversation with chief proctor H S Palsania. They were assured that the issue would be looked into.
