Cops Collect Dna Samples In Kalwar To Probe Girl’s Death | Jaipur News

Jaipur: DNA samples from two individuals were collected on Wednesday to aid in the identification of a partially burnt body of an unidentified girl discovered in a desolate area in Kalwar five days ago. Additional DCP (West) Ram Singh mentioned that the samples have been submitted to the laboratory for examination, and a comprehensive report is awaited to determine the identity of the deceased.
According to a senior police officer, some individuals from a nearby town raised suspicions suggesting that the deceased may be the same girl who was reported missing a few days ago from a nearby area and she is the same girl who was allegedly gang-raped back in 2021.
“The missing girl was previously been reported to have been raped in 2021, and two accused had already been arrested in that case but nothing can be verified yet if she is the same girl because her body was charred beyond recognition so it is too early to say anything,” said an official.
The police said the DNA examination will corroborate the identity of the following which the body will be handed over to the family. “The police probe will begin once the DNA report is received,” said the official.
