Jaisalmer: Special judge Om Prakash Sharma of Pocso special court sentenced a man to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment on Saturday in a case of raping a minor in 2022.
The court special public prosecutor Jetharam Mali said that on July 5, 2022, father of the victim had lodged a case at Sangad police station.
Mali stated in the report that he had gone to Jodhpur for some domestic work. In his absence, Naresh aka Gopalram lured his minor daughter in the night and raped her many times.
Police produced the challan in the court. Documents of statements and all witnesses were produced in the court.
Mali said that after hearing the case, special judge Sharma sentenced Naresh aka Gopalram to 20 years’ rigorous imprisonment under POCSO Act.
