Talk about ‘finishing off Modi’, Congress leader tells party workers | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: Congress general secretary in-charge of Rajasthan Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa on Monday asked his party’s leaders and workers to talk about “finishing off” Prime Minister Narendra Modi to save the country.
“If Modi is finished off, then India will be saved (Agar Modi khatm ho gaya, to Hindustan bach jayega)”, said Randhawa in his address to a gathering of the party’s leaders and workers during a protest against crony capitalism at Civil Lines in Jaipur.
Pointing at the alleged links between industrialist Gautam Adani and BJP, he said, “Our fight is not with Adani, but with BJP. Finish off BJP, Adani will be finished with it” (Pehle BJP ko maar lo, Adani saath hi mar jayega). Randhawa also targeted PM Narendra Modi, saying, “When the British came, they had brought East India Company to do business. Modi has brought Adani by making him the new East India Company, and it will destroy India. East India Company looted the country for 200 years and occupied the whole country. The country is moving towards slavery again. Not Modi, but Adani is deciding what will happen in the country”.
Randhawa said if Congress returns to power at the Centre, “Adani and Ambani should land in jail.” He also questioned the patriotism of Modi and the Sangh Pariwar. “Modi talks about patriotism but does not even know what patriotism means. How many of the Sangh people fought for the country’s freedom and went to jail during the freedom struggle?” he asked.
“All those who went to jail in the freedom struggle were from Congress families. Five generations of Congress families went to jail for the country. There is the blood of every Congressman in Andaman’s Cellular Jail. Modi asks what Congress has done. Congress has liberated the country and given the country to a dishonest person like you (Modi),” said Randhawa.
Questioning the PM’s claims about Indian military killing terrorists in Pakistan, he said, “First tell how Pulwama happened. Was it orchestrated to win elections?” he asked. On February 14, 2019, terrorists had attacked CRPF jawans in Pulwama, causing the death of 40 jawans. After this, terrorist bases in Pakistan were destroyed in air surgical strikes by India.
Randhawa advised Congress workers to end factional fights and unite. “We have to work for Congress, not for any individual. If the worker is alive, then Congress is alive. We have to work for Congress. Do not work for any person. We are an institution. Congress does not run in the name of anyone; everyone survives in the name of Congress,” he said.
Taking a jibe at Congress leaders, Randhawa said, “I have to say with regret that whoever comes to me asks for the position (in the party) he will get. They do not say how to take Congress forward.”
He told party workers, “First make Congress strong. We need workers. No quota system will work”.
