Term: Ru Vc Jain’s Term Comes To An End After Three Years | Jaipur News

Jaipur: After completing three years, the tenure of Rajeev Jain, the outgoing vice-chancellor of Rajasthan University ended on Friday.
Teachers said that the vice-chancellor in his term faced legal, academic and administrative challenges. The term of the RU VC Rajeev Jain ended on Friday.
Meanwhile, KL Vyas, VC of Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur has been given the additional charge of Rajasthan University on Friday.
They said that in a legal challenge, the vice-chancellor was fighting a case regarding experience of ten years needed to be appointed for the post.
“Academic integrity of the university with respect to promotions of professors, pending issues of teaching and non-teaching staff, coordination with the registrar were some of the major tough tasks for the vice-chancellor. His term started after the first wave of Covid-19, when the university was facing a major challenge of online education,” said professor Sanjay Kumar, president of Rajasthan University Teachers’ Association.
Teachers also pointed out that the five-year delay in adopting the UGC 2018 regulations and implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) in the university were other major academic challenges for the outgoing VC.
