Rajasthan: Robbers loot Rs 76,000 from bank in Alwar | Jaipur News

ALWAR: Three armed robbers barged into a branch of Baroda Rajasthan Gramin Bank and decamped with Rs 76,000 at Bhugor village in Alwar on Thursday afternoon. Police have retrieved some CCTV footages and have initiated investigation into the matter.
According to police, the incident took place at 2.20 pm on Thursday when armed robbers entered into the branch and started intimidating the bank staff and the customers. “After entering they kept the manager Rozy Kumari, cashier Hazari Lal and deputy manager Priyanka Agarwal hostage. Thereafter, they went to the cash counter and strong room and managed to decamp with Rs 76,000 from the bank,” said a senior police officer.
Almost 10 minutes after the incident the bank authorities intimated the police. A team of senior police officers rushed to the spot to take a stock of the situation.
“It was found that the alarm of the bank was not working and none of the bank authorities had shown any resistance during the robbery,” the officer added.tnn
