Thanagazi constituency election result 2023: Congress’s Kanti Prasad secures win over BJP’s Hemsingh | Jaipur News

Thanagazi constituency was a battleground between Kanti Prasad of the Congress and Hemsingh of the BJP. Following the 17th round of total 18, the top two candidates are separated by just over 400 votes. Kanti Prasand was leading the charge for the INC as Hemsingh was trailing closely. However, as the vote count was concluded after the 18th round, Prasad secured a win over Hemsingh with nearly 2,000 votes seperating the two.The Thanagazi assembly constituency falls under the Dausa Lok Sabha constituency, presently held by the BJP.
In the 2018 Rajasthan elections, the Thanagazi seat was claimed by the independent candidate Kanti Prasad, with independent candidate Hem Singh securing the second position.

Previously, during the 2013 Assembly elections, Hem Singh Bhadana of the BJP emerged victorious in the Thanagazi constituency, with the NPP candidate Kanti Prasad as the runner-up.
For the 2023 Rajasthan Assembly elections in the Thanagazi constituency, there are a total of 221,027 electors, with male voters comprising 118,179 and female voters totaling 102,848.

On the voting day, a total of 168,152 voters showed up to cast their votes in Thanagazi. Among these, 87,778 were male voters, and 80,374 were female voters. The recorded voter turnout rate in Thanagazi for the 2023 Rajasthan Assembly election is 76.08 percent.
