Lotus: Woman writes ‘BJP’ and draws lotus outside home, assaulted in Jaipur | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: A brutal incident occurred in Kalyan Colony of Sanganer in Jaipur, where a woman faced a violent attack by a group of people. The unfortunate event took place 10 days ago on Friday, July 21. The woman wrote pro-BJP slogans and drew a lotus flower on the wall outside her house, which sparked outrage in the community. The mob broke into her house, attacked her ruthlessly, and dragged her out, assaulting her even further in the mud.

The reason behind this aggression was that the woman expressed her support for the BJP, which offended the sentiments of some neighbours. They mercilessly kicked, punched, and beat her. The Malpura Gate Police reached the scene in time and rescued the woman from the violent mob.
In the aftermath of the incident, the woman locked herself in a room on the first floor and put a lock on the door from the inside to protect herself from the mob. The attackers broke the main door first and then forcibly opened the locked room, subjecting her to more violence.

The incident came to light through a viral video on social media, which led to the identification and arrest of seven culprits. The arrested individuals are Nasiruddin, Rashid, Mustak, Irfan Khan, Ajaz Khan, Iqram Deshawali, and Kalamuddin, all residents of Kalyan Nagar.
The police acted promptly in apprehending the suspects after seeing their faces in the video evidence.
