Rajendra Rathore: Rathore To Challenge Speaker’s Delayed Decision In Hc On Resignation Of 81 Mlas | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Leader of opposition Rajendra Rathore on Tuesday requested the Rajasthan High Court to allow him to challenge the action of speaker of the legislative assembly CP Joshi for not taking any decision on the resignation given by the 81 MLAs of the Congress party and also for not accepting them after a delay of 113 days. During the hearing of public interest litigation (PIL) at the high court by Rathore, the leader requested the court to amend his existing petition. Hearing the case, the bench comprising Justice M M Srivastava and Praveer Bhatnagar gave him the liberty to amend his petition and fixed the hearing on October 9.

54 Sena MLAs called for hearing before Speaker on Monday
Officials from the Maharashtra legislature have issued fresh notices to 54 Shiv Sena MLAs from rival factions, summoning them for a hearing at Vidhan Bhavan on Monday. The notices include all the disqualification petitions before assembly speaker Rahul Narwekar. This comes after the Supreme Court ordered the speaker to set a schedule to dispose of the proceedings against the MLAs. Narwekar has stated that a fresh hearing will be held next week and Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde may also be called if necessary.
