Three Minor Cousins Drown In Luni River | Jaipur News

Jaisalmer: Three children from the same extended family drowned in the Luni river in Sindhari police station area of Balotra district on Thursday evening. All of them were about 15 years of age and were cousins. They were studying in Class 11. A large number of people reached the spot upon learning of the tragedy. After about two-and-a-half hours, local divers found the bodies of the three.
Sindhari SHO Surendra Chaudhary reached the spot and said that the police were investigating the incident. He identified the deceased as Rahul, s/o Banshilal, Vikas, s/o Bhavaram, and Mahendra, s/o Chhagnaram, all residents of the same house in Payla Kalla village in Balotra. The SHO said that the cousins went into the river to take a bath but drowned in deep water. Other children playing nearby informed about it, whereupon villagers and local divers rushed to their rescue. Constable Radheshyam of Payla Chowki also joined the local divers in the underwater search. By the time the three were found and taken to Sindhari hospital, they had already died.
