Jaipur: Traffic police have issued a list of traffic diversions and road closures ahead of Sunday’s marathon.
The curbs and diversions will be in place from 3.30am to 9.30am on JLN Marg and some adjoining lanes.
The marathon will begin from the South Gate of Ramniwas Bagh. The participants will run through Trimurti Circle, JDA Circle, Gandhi Circle, Bajaj Nagar intersection, OTS circle and Apex Circle on JLN Marg.
Traffic will be diverted from Ramniwas Bagh to Jawahar Circle and from Malviya Nagar flyover to Apex Circle to Bajaj Nagar intersection.
Similar traffic diversions will be made on Trimurti Circle, Suchna Kendra, Ghoda Circle and Arogya Path.
Police said after the marathon, no fresh permissions will be given for the same route. “There are several hospitals on the stretch and any kind of diversion also takes a toll on Tonk Road and MI Road,” said an official.
There are over half-a-dozen hospitals on the stretch, including SMS Hospital and trauma centre. The road also connects Jaipur International Airport; therefore, the entire stretch remains abuzz with vehicular traffic throughout the day.
