Traffic: Elaborate Traffic Plans In City For Rahul Visit | Jaipur News

JAIPUR: In view of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s scheduled visit to Jaipur on Saturday, the traffic police department has designated a few parking spots and declared a few stretches as no-parking zones in areas close to the venues of his two programmes.
The Congress MP would hold a public rally at Mansarovar on Saturday afternoon and reach Central Park in the evening to inaugurate Gandhi Vatika, a museum on Mahatma Gandhi.
Parking of all types of vehicles has been prohibited on the stretch from Pardhan Vatika to VT Road and New Sanganer Road intersection and also from Aravali Marg intersection on VT Road to Shipra Path. No vehicles would be allowed to park on Madhyam Marg, too.

Traffic movement will be restricted in Jaipur on JLN Marg and Taktshahi Road during Ganesh Chaturthi. A fair near the Ganesh Mandir on Moti Doongri Road is expected to attract a large crowd, prompting the traffic police to make arrangements and divert buses. In other news, the Ganesh Puja fair in Jamshedpur has begun with heightened security measures, while the Coimbatore city police will geo-tag Ganesh idol installations. Additionally, people in India are adopting eco-friendly practices to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi, such as making their own clay idols.
Lights & tiled tracks: Udyog Marg set to be a model road
The Noida Authority plans to develop Udyog Marg as a model road, improving infrastructure, water and sewer systems, and traffic management. The road will have a straight alignment, repairs on side tracks, and road-level manholes. Modern street lighting will be installed for better visibility at night. The Authority will address civic issues in industrial sectors 1 to 11, ensuring uninterrupted utility services and covering open drains. The CEO also instructed officials to streamline auto-rickshaws and carry out regular anti-encroachment drives. Action will be taken against unauthorized parking on roads.
