Jda Plans 1st Cable-stayedbridge In City On Jln Marg | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The city’s first cable-stayed bridge will come up on JLN Marg, the key arterial stretch, soon. The project, proposed by Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), will be signal-free and is proposed at OTS Junction.
JDA also plans to construct two cloverleaf bridges and a rotary one in the city. The total project cost for all the bridges has been estimated at Rs 150 crore.
“After finalising the design, the JDA will invite tenders to start the work. This will be the first cable-stayed bridge within the city limits in the state. The decision to erect the structure was taken due to shortage of land on the stretch. The deck of the bridge can be supported by cables after constructing two pylons,” a senior official said.
Talking about the durability of the structure, the official said, “The lifespan of this structure is also claimed to be higher than that of a regular bridge.” tnn
