Kota: A 30-year-old man succumbed on Tuesday while undergoing treatment after he was run over by a truck near Dhadwara under Mandana police station in Kota a day back.
The deceased was identified as Vinod Meena (30), a resident of Dhadwara village under Mandana police station in Kota district.
The family members have held a private company and its truck driver engaged under Bharat Mala Project responsible for the mishap.
The family members accompanied by villagers assembled outside company site office. They refused to conduct last rites until proper compensation was paid.
Following assurance of Rs 15 lakh, the kin agreed for last rites. Sub inspector at Mandana police station Abdul Kalam said, Vinod was on his way home on motorcycle when the truck run over him. He was rushed to MBS Hospital in Kota where he succumbed during treatment on Tuesday morning. tnn
