Tvs Apache: Raje Loyalist Gunjal Meets Ls Speaker Birla At His House | Jaipur News

Kota: In a surprising turn of events in the political landscape of Hadouti, former BJP MLA and Kota-North ticket aspirant, Phralad Gunjal, who has been a staunch supporter of former chief minister Vasundhra Raje and seldom seen with local MP and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla over the past five years, made an unexpected visit to Birla’s residence in Shakti Nagar, Kota, late on Thursday night. The two leaders engaged in a two-hour-long meeting in a packed room, followed by another meeting lasting around half an hour on Friday morning.
Both Gunjal and Birla have described the meetings as a matter of courtesy ahead of the elections, as one is the local MP and the other is an aspirant for a party ticket.
Phralad Gunjal, the ticket aspirant from Kota North, explained, “Om Birla is the Member of Parliament from here and also serves as the Lok Sabha Speaker. Given that elections are scheduled for nine assembly seats within his parliamentary constituency, it is crucial for party candidates and aspirants to engage in discussions with him. Since all of us are focused on securing victories in all the assembly seats, we need to strategize with the MP.”
He added, “While I can’t disclose the details of our discussion in that packed room, it’s safe to say that we deliberated on the party’s strategy for victory.” Om Birla, the local MP and Lok Sabha Speaker, responded to a reporter’s query with a smile, saying, “No political discussions took place.”
It’s worth noting that BJP candidates from Keshoraipatan, Chandrakanta Meghwal, and Heeralal Nagar, the party’s candidate from Sangod, also met Speaker Om Birla at his residence. As of now, Gunjal’s name has not been officially announced in BJP’s list of candidates.
