Jaipur: In an embarrassment to the party, Congress MLA from Kathumar (Alwar) Babulal Bairwa accused health minister Parsadilal Meena and water supply minister Mahesh Joshi of neglecting him while alleging that the health minister’s son is running the department.
On Congress’ chances of retaining power, he said, “there may not be an anti-incumbency at the ground level, but Congress’ chances in next elections rely on both Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot working unitedly”.
“I am a four-time MLA senior to Parsadilal Meena. But Parsadilal Meena and Mahesh Joshi do not do my work. I am a Dalit MLA. Maybe that’s the reason. I don’t understand any other reason,” he said while alleging that PHED minister Mahesh Joshi gives only assurances,” Bairwa said.
Bairwa made the allegation while speaking to the media at PCC office on Saturday afternoon. ” I am a scheduled caste man, so Parsadilal does not do my work. I am more senior than him, but nothing works for me. I sent my son, who is also the vice president of Rajasthan Vith Vikas Nigam, but he drove him away. Raghu Sharma also did not do my work, but he surrendered the very next day as soon as I raised my voice, he claimed.
He said it is said that his son is running the show. Bairwa said that hospitals and sub-centers have not opened in his area. Hundreds of posts remain vacant. There are no doctors. I have told the chief minister and the in-charge several times, but nothing worked, he claimed.
About the PHED minister, he said “A new office of XEN has been opened in Kathumar, but nothing has happened there yet. I have met Mahesh Joshi 20 times. The minister speaks but does not act. Apart from Mahesh Joshi and Parsadilal Meena, rest of the ministers do my work,” he said.
Every year, 40 handpumps are available, but the water supply minister did not give even sanctioned eight. In the last budget, the chief minister had announced handpumps, but a whole year has passed, till now no work has been done.
He said that Congress has a chance in the next elections if Gehlot and Pilot unite. “Sachin Pilot is a leader with the backing of the whole community. They vote for me too, it is true. If CM Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot do not unite, then the party will suffer.
