Jaipur: The staff at Vaishali Nagar police station was left shocked when a 25-year-old accused, Sohel, tied to end his life in the lock-up after he was unable to obtain smack. According to the police, Sohel inflicted deep cuts on his hands using a sharp object, which caused significant bleeding. He was immediately rushed to hospital on June 14. “Sohel was apprehended in connection with theft cases and is known to be a drug user. His condition has now stabilized,” an officer said. TNN
