Talks With Govt Fail, Ministerial Staff Continues Its Protest | Jaipur News
Jaipur: The mahapadao sit-in protest of ministerial employees continued for the 28th day at Mansarovar here after a second meeting with finance department officials remained inconclusive, state president of the ministerial employees federation, Raj Singh Choudhary, said on Sunday.
He said the mahapadao would be called off only after written orders are issued by the state government fulfilling their main demands. About 50,000 ministerial employees will hold a day-long fast at the protest site on Monday, he said. The ministerial employees have been on mass leave since April 10 over the state government’s delay in fulfilling their demands, which include restoration of pay scale to Rs 9,840, one-time relaxation in promotional posts up to Grade Pay of Rs 6,000, issuance of notification for recruitment for posts of panchayati raj department, and issuance of orders for transfers in panchayati raj department.
Rajasthan Ministerial Employees Federation representatives met RTDC chairman on Friday and were assured that their demands would be fulfilled. tnn
