Vote Bank Politics: Rathore Smells Vote Bank Politics In Contract Jobs In Raj | Jaipur News

Jaipur: Jaipur Rural MP Rajyavardhan Rathore on Sunday accused CM Ashok Gehlot of indulging in appeasement politics even in the recruitment of contract workers.

“It is unfortunate that people working in madrasas were given priority in contract jobs. It appears that Gehlot’s government is running for a particular community or class,” said Rathore at a press conference held at the state BJP headquarters.
The BJP MP asked Gehlot to clarify if his government was running for the development of a particular community. “Is it not their responsibility to care for the whole of the state?” he asked.

Reminding Gehlot of his promise of contractual jobs to 1.20 lakh youths, he said, “The state government, known for breaking promises, has given contractual jobs to only 3,000 to 4,000 youths. They are given contractual jobs on a third-party basis, which is yet again an example of cheating with the youths.”
“Paper leaks have become a full-fledged industry in the state due to the policies of the Gehlot government. Lakhs of youths prepare for examinations throughout the year by leaving their homes with loans for coaching. In the end, they learn that the paper they had appeared in is either leaked or cancelled,” said Rathore, who was accompanied by Jaipur MP Ramcharan Bohra.
Calling the unemployment allowance “a farce,” he said the youths are being called to the government offices daily in the name of this allowance.
“For a meagre Rs 3,500 allowance, the youths are forced to go to work daily. They end up spending more on travel than what they are getting,” said Rathore. BJP would hold a dharna at the secretariat in Jaipur on August 1 as part of the party’s ‘Nahi Sahega Rajasthan’ campaign, said the two MPs. People from every nook and corner of Jaipur will participate in the protests that day, they added.
