Wanted Criminal Was Using Technology To Evade Arrest | Jaipur News
Jaipur: Kamal Rana, notorious criminal with 35 pending criminal cases, including murder, extortion, assault, and narcotics smuggling, in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, went to great lengths to evade the police. Kamal Rana had become adept at using technology to ensure that the police could not pinpoint his exact location. He relied on 13 dongles from various telecommunication companies, 80 SIM cards, and 8 iPhones, constantly switching them to avoid detection.
Despite his efforts, the crime branch managed to track his location to Shirdi, where an extensive search of approximately 400 hotels led to his arrest, along with four of his accomplices. On Tuesday, Rana and his cohorts were taken into transit remand for two days and are expected to be transported to Choti Sadari police station in Chittorgarh on Wednesday. A team of crime branch on Monday had arrested Kamal Rana against whom Rajasthan police had announced a reward of Rs 50,000 and Madhya Pradesh had announced a reward of Rs 20,000. tnn
