Watch: Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne confront England fan for ‘boring’ taunt | Cricket News

An England fan hurled taunts of “boring” at the Australian players as they walked up the stairs at the end of third day’s play in the fifth and final Ashes Test at The Oval, which led to Usman Khawaja and Marnus Labuschagne confronting the fan.

In a social media video that has gone viral, the fan could be seen continuously yelling “boring” at all of the Australian players, which led to Khawaja and Labuschagne stopping and turning in reaction.
While Khawaja urged the fan to “calm down”, Labuschagne reacted in anger and asked, “What did you say?”

The ongoing Ashes series, which Australia lead 2-1, saw such scenes before during the Lord’s Test after England batsman Jonny Bairstow was controversially stumped by Australian wicketkeeeper Alex Carey. It led to some of the MCC members hurling abuses at the Australian team as the players walked down the Long Room after stumps.
Khawaja reacted to those abuses and was held back by the security staff. It led to the MCC suspending three of its members.
