Jaipur: For the past four days, rainfall in Jaipur, Udaipur, Kota and Bharatpur divisions has not only guided the mercury to take a dip but also given a new lease of life to the water reservoirs in the state. However, western Rajasthan is still reeling under scorching heat conditions and dry weather.
The Met office said that from September 15, mercury will start taking a dip at many places in the state.
Asnavar (Jhalawar) received a rainfall of 130mm, the highest in the state, on Monday. However, Jaisalmer and Phalodi recorded maximum temperatures of 41°C each.
Asnavar (Jhalawar) was followed by Bayana (Bharatpur) where a maximum rainfall of 70 mm was recorded, Jawaja (Ajmer) 60mm, Nadbai (Bhararpur), Dholpur and Vair 40mm each. Also, rainfall varying from 30mm to 10mm was recorded at many places in Bharatpur and Ajmer divisions of the state on Monday.
