Water Supply Schemes: Phed Minister Lays Foundation Stone For 3 Water Projects In Jaipur |

Jaipur: Public health and engineering department minister Mahesh Joshi on Sunday laid the foundation stone for three re-organized urban water supply schemes of Jaipur worth Rs 130 crore. These schemes were mentioned in the chief minister’s budget announcement for this financial year.
“In the last two years as water supply minister, I left no stone unturned to provide drinking water to the people of the entire state. There was no discrimination. When water from Bisalpur Dam reached Jhotwara assembly constituency, we decided that the residents of Sanganer assembly constituency would also get the water of Bisalpur,” said Joshi during his speech at the event.
These water supply schemes include a project for renovation of the pump house to ensure smooth drinking water supply to Baiji Kothi, Model Town and surrounding areas.
Under the reorganized urban water supply scheme Jagatpura, worth Rs 44.30 crore, work will be done for construction of a new high reservoir of 18 lakh litre capacity.
Under the reorganized urban water supply scheme in Gator, the PHED would spend Rs 37.16 crores for renovating the pump house, constructing a new high reservoir of 15 lakh litre capacity in Siddharth Nagar in the city.

The Chennai Metrowater engineering director, M Jaikar Jesudos, made this announcement on Tuesday.
PHED nod to new drinking water projects worth 1,100cr
The Rajasthan Water Supply and Sewerage Management Board has approved drinking water projects worth Rs 1,100 crore, including small and major projects. The projects include 31 OTMPs worth Rs 303.54 crore, 8 OTMPs worth Rs 75.45 crore under Jal Jeevan Mission, and 61 OTMPs worth Rs 533.39 crore. Additionally, a project worth Rs 20.10 crore for Jaipur and a new filter plant for Rs 15.04 crore were approved. In another development, the forest department in Bijnor has prepared a Rs 13 crore project to address the man-animal conflict in the district.
