JAISALMER: Following the arrest of three persons for giving bribe of Rs 19.95 lakh for getting good marks in RAS interview, the needle of suspicion has now turned towards former BJP zila pramukh Poonaram Choudhary of Jodhpur.
Kisna Ram of Jodhpur was given Rs 19.95 lakh by a government school principal and a school owner to increase marks of a candidate in the RAS interview. It is suspected that Kisna Ram was to give the money to Choudhary, who is now missing and his mobile phone is switched off.
According to information, ACB has verified that the bribe amount was given on April 3 prior to the interview. Earlier, the culprits were saying the amount was given on June 17.
According to ACB sources, Kisna Ram and Choudhary are very close and this is the reason why the former BJP zila pramukh is under suspicion.
ACB will probe the case from every angle.
ACB DIG Vishnu Kant said on July 28, its team arrested Mother Teresa Senior Secondary School owner Thakra Ram Jat, Panwada government higher secondary school principal Jogaram Jat and physical training instructor Kisna Ram.
