Wild Boar: Woman Mauled By Wild Boar In Bundi Reserve | Jaipur News

Kota: A 38-year-old woman, identified as Ramjanki Goswami, resident of Baldevpura village in Bundi district, sustained critical injuries after a wild boar, hidden in the drain of a canal, attacked her on Tuesday morning at about 9am while she was collecting fodder from her agriculture field adjoining the core area of Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve (RVTR).
The wild boar reportedly dragged the woman to canal drain, where she struggled with the animal for around 10 minutes during which her hair became tangled around the boar’s tusk. The woman’s husband, Mahendra Puri, reached the spot and freed her by chopping with a sickle her hair that was entangled in the boar’s tusk. The woman was rushed to the primary health center at Khatkhat, where doctors referred her to Bundi district hospital. The woman sustained deep wounds on her body from the boar’s claws and tusks. She was given 25-30 stiches and her condition is still stated to be critical at Bundi district hospital, said Khatkhat forest check post in-charge Ratiram Jat. tnn
