Withdraws Order: Govt Revokes Jmc-g Mayor’s Suspension After Hc Relief | Jaipur News

Jaipur: The local self government department on Friday withdrew the suspension order of JMC-Heritage mayor Munesh Gurjar, days after she got relief from the high court. The state government reversed its own order after 26 days.
In the past one week, 37 Congress councillors, who were supported by cabinet minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas and MLA Amin Kagzi, had been protesting and demanding the mayor’s arrest after she filed a nomination with the Jaipur Congress unit, seeking a ticket to contest from Civil Lines assembly constituency.
On Tuesday, RR Tiwari, district president of Jaipur Congress, had called a meeting to discuss the mayor’s suspension issue. Sources said that after this meeting, Tiwari and cabinet minister Mahesh Joshi informed the chief minister about the situation in JMC-Heritage, after which the suspension order was withdrawn.
