Jaipur: Police on Sunday arrested two men after a 25-year-old married woman in Bhilwara alleged that they gang-raped her.
Police said they received information at 8.40pm on Saturday that a woman was on Jhumapura street in a nude condition. Police took her to hospital, they said.
However, police issued a statement at 2.50pm on Sunday denying that she was abducted and that her allegations were found to be “false”. An officer, wishing anonymity, stated, “The complaint was found to be false after probe. The woman had gone with her acquaintances. After a dispute, she fled the scene unclothed. She initially provided incorrect information to the police, but the situation became clear after examining her mobile phone.”
Further investigation revealed that the woman is married to a 50-year-old person here.
